Cher hopped up by the door, hearing the screeching of the birds. What was going on? Why had Teako passed out? "What's in the room? Room? Room?" he chirped, peeking into the room. His beak gaped open in horror. "BIRDS!! So many poor POOR birds!! We got to help them!!" He looked at the passed out Teako. They'd have to help him first, though.

Teako opened his eyes, and saw a brightly plumed bird and a crow standing above him. He started to panic, but that's when he remembered what had happened. "Ugh..My head.." He mumbled, rubbing his head. He must have hit it pretty hard on the floor when he fell. "Ok guys, lets go inside and free these poor birds." He said, walking into the room. All of the birds turned to stare at him. Then they started screeching, "FREE ME! FREE ME!" Teako went up to the first cage and unlatched the bar. All the birds jumped out yelling, "Thank you! Thank you!" and then took off down the hall. Teako went to the second cage and started playing with the latch.

Cher watched the birds passing by, simply in awe at how many there were. He hadn't realized that there could be so many animals in one room, or even in the whole lab. He sat down, squawking farwells to the birds that passed him, attempting to bring the realization to himself that there weren't just 3 birds in the world.
( I think it's alright if Brownie joins! I forgot to say so on my last post. )

(rat cages? brownie, can you please explain where you are?)
Teako opened the next cage and watched the birds tumble out.

Cher quickly shook his head and waddled over to Teako. "Is there a way that I can help open the cages?" he squawked, watching the birds squeeze their way out of the cage.

Ishak stood and watched, completely still. "I... no, no, no," he cawed, and launched himself towards Teako, wings beating, trying to knock him away from the locks. "What are you doing? The whitecoats will get them, some of them are bound to get seriously hurt! Stop!" He fell back, breathing heavily. "And then we'll get in trouble..."

(Uh.. This is mostly a bird roleplay.. But I guess we can add in a few...)
Teako stopped and thought about what Ishak said. If they let the birds free, they would get caught by the whitecoats. If they left them, they would continue to get tortured. "Ugh... I guess you're right Ishak. We'll leave the rest." He said, glancing sadly back at the others. "Ok. Let's get out of here."

Cher looked back at the birds, and squawked farwells to them. He turned and hopped out the door, making short glances at the birds. His stomach lurched as he heard the birds screaming out at them, begging to set them free.

There is another shout, "Don't leave me alone in here!" as the shout echoed louder than the last one

Teako whipped his head around at the sound of a rat's voice. "Wait guys," He said, turning around completely and walking to the source. There was a dark brown rat in a small cage. The lock was padlocked. It would need more work.

Ishak let out a loud sound, a mix of a sigh and a groan. "A rat? It'll get caught too, won't it? Especially 'cause there's only a few rat cages here, the whitecoats'll definitely notice if it's gone..." When Teako showed no sign of leaving, he fluffed his glossy black feathers out impatiently and hopped back into the room, pointedly looking away from the screeching birds. He watched the other bird pick at the lock, frowning. "How do you know how to do that?"

"let me help" I said as my tail goe through a air hole in the cage, as my tail went next to the dove to get a turn to pick the lock

Teako continued picking the lock, and with the help of the rat's tail, finally got the cage unlocked. The door swung open, and the rat lept out. "Hello. I'm Teako." Teako said to the rat.
