Lost In the Maze [Open to all!]

Nynx listened carefully to the new voice that had been brought in by the whitecoat. He strained his ears to listen to the conversation. This stranger seemed kind, at least. He recognized the species known as the 'squirrel'. Yes, he had just vaguely remembered observing the creatures through the window of his old home. It was funny, actually, how that window had been the only thing he could remember of his past. With attention turned to the beeping of his collar, he had realized that time was almost up for this round. Nynx had slowly begun to slink towards the exit of the maze, then stopping as he approached it, awaiting for the gloved hand of the furless to retrieve him. It seemed to be only a few moments of waiting until his assumption had proved valid, quickly being lifted from the contraption and returned to his translucent glass confinement on one of the shelves that overlooked a few the mazes. This was the cage that he used only between short delays. After the whitecoat had switched the small knob on his collar, the glowing red light from the chord had dimmed, and the roof of his cage was closed. It would remain this way until his next test, most likely occurring shortly. Patiently waiting as the odd looking creature scribbled something down on its clipboard, he glanced at the maze just a ways down from the shelf where he could spot the blurred figure of Oreo and the other stranger who he had yet to meet, also catching sight of the familiar brown doe named Shade on the table next to it. Nynx grumbled a bit as the whitecoat had walked back off again, probably to check on the others now. /They may be able to hear me if I spoke.../ he silently pondered, though remained quiet and wordless to all but himself.

I stretched and mumbled stuff to feel my tounge again, after a few minutes, I can feel my tounge again, "Guys! I can feel my tounge again!" I squeaked as the white coat picked me up, and groan with my ears down, "What, now?" I groaned, extremely unhappy

Oreo:

"Ok Callie. We have to find our way out of this maze." Oreo chirped.

Callie:

"Ok." she replied, scittering down the passage.

Nynx stared back down at the maze for a bit longer, narrowing his eyes as he attempted to figure it out from above. It was slightly hard to see from here, but he could tell the difference between dead ends and open pathways. He decided to pull through with his plan. Try to help to them. Though he couldn't speak to them, as they probably wouldn't be able to hear him, he could still help direct Oreo and the stranger in the right direction. Once he had noticed the next opportunity to help, which is whenever they would reach the next pathway, he knocked on the glass to hopefuly get their attention, though he had no idea whether or not it would even be heard from this distance.

Lewis leaned against the wall of the maze

, feeling a stark sort of coldness seeping into his fur. His head was buzzing, a sort of tick-tick-ticking in his ears. A clock, maybe, a clock or his heartbeat. It didn't really make sense. Nothing was really making sense.
There were voices in the distance, yes, voices, and barely recognizable as such, a level of sound just above the ringing.
The incessant ringing, assaulting his ears like how the color White assaulted his eyes.
Lewis wanted out. He wanted quiet, and dark. Not voices or white or ringing or tick-tick-ticking.

But the voices were louder now, he realized with a jolt. If they were voices. If they were even louder, as his own mind could be playing tricks on him.

Where was he, anyways? He thought he was in a maze. Yes, a maze. He had even keeper track of which paths he had taken. That was before he was suddenly very tired. Why was he so tired? Why were there voices? Was this another test? Were the voices actually inside his own head?

A shiver ran down his body and he ran down the path, not sure where he was going or why he was going.

The ceiling opened for a moment and I was suddenly dropped into lewis's path, "Oof!"

Myth was thrown into a part of a maze. When she got up, she looked around, her eyes filled with curiosity and wonder as she looked around this unfamiler place. "Where am I" Myth squeaked

Nynx removed his glare from the track, taking a moment to acknowledge the other rat that had joined the room. He nodded his head in greeting, waving his tail as he spoke. "You currently reside in the 'testing room'." He tilted his head, a slight glare apparent as the male realized he did not recognize the stranger. He decided to correct himself. "If there was to be a swap, I would exceed thankfulness that it not be the experimenting room."
Nynx returned his gaze back to the maze below, watching the others. He was aware that the next trial was only a few moments away.

"Wa-wait... You We've being tested or something" Myth said frightened as her normal eye color change to grey

"Did I not just say?" Nynx spoke, turning back to the doe. He quickly dismissed his earlier statement, realizing that perhaps the stranger simply had not understood the thick wording. "Allow me to rephrase : You are in the testing room. Not the experimenting room." He mumbled, resting his head upon his front pillars as he lowered himself to the cage floor. "Simply to test your abilities, not to change them."

(I forgot this website even existed before I saw a picture of a rat ;-; I'm not quite sure what's going on, but I'll try my best to catch up!)

Oreo:

Oreo ran into the maze, quickly turning her head around to make sure Callie was keeping up. "We have to hurry." she said, sniffing the air, and then dashing down the passage.

Callie:

Callie followed, breathing heavily, as she was out of shape. She suddenly stopped, and made her ears erect to listen. "Oreo!" she whispered as loud as she dared. "Wait! Listen..." she mumbled. She could hear a heavy thumping sound coming from beside her channel.

Myth looked around. Passages all over the place. She turned to the odd rat. "So... Is there something that is supposed to get us or there is a way out..." She squeaked.

Exmortis limped though the white maze trying the best he could just make out where to go, following the walls he limped not noticing the rat he was about to walk into.
