(I don't see why having a Guard Dog is a problem, they were characters in those adoption centers Tanzy made a while back, but maybe you should ask..)
Rust gave Ishak a grateful glance before glaring with burning loathing toward's the dog as his head appeared from the base of the pipe, ear's flattened and yellow teeth gritted. "Yes, I am here." He told the dog, his fur along the base of his spine bristled despite the dampness of the outside world. "I think you'll see the whitecoats have hurt me quite enough." He said firmly, his paws on the rim of the pipe as he growled under his breath, "Killers." He peered out, ears up. "Oh, so the whitecoats care about our meaningless lives? I'm quite stunned, really." He said with a mirthless chuckle.

(Who do I ask?) "I can believe that they have," Advis eyed the rat. "Well, they care more about the data, if they lose you they lose progress. Sorry to get your hopes up about them caring about lives," Advis gave a pitiful look to the rat. He remembered the time when he thought he was adopted by a loving family, but no, he was adopted by demons and sent to a living hell. Serenity looked at the dog, he was large and she had never seen a dog before, much less a large one. (Advis is a Tibetan Mastiff mix btw) "So let me get this straight, you don't like the whitecoats either?" Advis nodded. "Then why do you follow them?" Serenity couldn't understand Advis' loyalty. "I have reasons, " Advis sighed. (I'm going camping so see you in 2 days )

Ishak's anger lessened, seeing that Advis didn't like the whitecoats either. But... "Really, why follow them? You aren't a test subject, if you run away they won't chase you. And you're so big, you could even get test subjects outta here with you!" The crow's eyes were brightening as he thought of the possibilities that could one out if this. Suddenly, the light in his eyes died. "But you're not gonna do that. Because I bet your reasons are just so strong and so stupid, you've even stopped caring. Like Rust said. You don't really care about our lives, do you?"

"My reasons are strong but not stupid!" Advis growled. "Listen, if I leave then the whitecoats will rotate another guard dog out, a cruel one. And.." Advis hung his head. "If I leave, then the security will be upgraded so no one will ever be able to escape again," Advis had made plans for escape but he could never execute them. He had no right to decide which subjects to save and which to leave, who should live and who would die. (Yay! I was thinking of doing an escape but then I thought maybe you two would be angry at me)
Serenity sighed, "It's late I need to go back or else the whitecoats will get suspicious." She reluctantly padded back to the torture chamber.

Rust was listening closely to the words of the crow and he nodded eagerly. "I'm surprised you care for the other test subjects." He gave a soft sigh as he smirked. "I thought we had all lost any touch of goodness in this place." He turned to Ishak, with some amusement on his face as his whiskers twitched. "You sure got your hopes up, didn't you?" He snickered, but looked over his shoulder as Serenity began to scamper back to the door. He stood still, his tail lashing over the rim over the pipe. "One rat out of hundreds. Are you sure they'll notice, miss?"

"I don't know. What if they do and never let me out again?" Serenity answered obviously distraught. "But tommorow I'll be out here again. I promise!" With that she scurried back to the lab. Advis nodded, "I think that seems best." Advis then realized something, "I only know your numbers. Might I ask for names?" Advis turned back to stop the dam but she had already left, he then looked at the crow and the buck.

(( uh, actually, I was really just putting that in because is what Ishak would think I didn't really have any plans for having them try to escape in my head But if it was just something like them trying to get out and them getting caught maybe that'd be ok..? ))
Ishak watched Serenity leave, feathers drooping. "The whitecoats will be back soon, I should probably get ready to leave too..." He turned to Advis. "Alright, maybe you're not so bad. Well, my name's Ishak. That was Serenity." He looked back toward Rust. "Don't you think you should head back too? I have no idea how you managed to slip away anyway." Tilting his head back, he added, "Hey, uh, what's your name dog, do you know where the security cameras all are?"

(And the plot THICKENS!!!!!) "My name is Advis, my mother honored me with it." Advis looked proudly at the sky. "Huh? Oh yes, I do. Inside and out, it's the first thing I learned on the job." (EEE I'm thinking of baby Advis :3 )

Rust glanced warily at Ishak and nodded slowly. "Perhaps." He squirmed down lower in the pipe, eyeing Advis. "I wonder, do you plan on telling anyone soon?" He asked quietly, his whiskers twitching slightly.

"Huh? Oh about the cameras. There's one in that fake bush, another in that 'keep out' sign and.." Advis began listing the 8 outdoor cameras.

"Fake camera's?" Rust's ears jolted forward in a instance, his brown eye's gleaming with anticipation and he leaned forward. (I'm so sorry for being so inactive.)

(( ahhh me too ))
Ishak cocked his head, hardly hearing the guard dog as he focused on the sky. "I want to fly," he said suddenly. "I really do." Clouds drifted across the gray sky lazily. A haze seemed to dim the sun. "But more than that, I want to be free. Don't you?" He narrowed his eyes, then shook his head. "We should go inside before this all really gets to me." He waited for Advis to finish listing the cameras, still paying little attention.

"Yes, with so many intelligent test subjects the whitecoats had to step up their game. Only 3 cameras are real and they aren't even out here. They really are idiotic creatures," Advis began to scratch his ear with his back paw.

Rust listened carefully to Ishak's lament, and he nodded, stretching up his paws and arching his back as he did so. "Perhaps I should go back as well." He nodded ruefully, gazing out at all that land, free for him to go out on, to escape right now. To forget this hell-hole ever existed. "So close yet still so far away." He smirked, turning away. "But not yet." He murmured, teeth grazing into his lower lip. He had unfinished business.
