IIIIIIIT'S TAAAAANZZYYYYYYYY!
And I'd like to share stuff with you guys.
I have "cleaned" out the boards of closed and old posts that either the creators ditched, had no replies, or were made in like, May.
So it feels like we start fresh again. I want to post some tips!
1) Give your post a descriptive title!
BAD EXAMPLE:
A post in Room 158 called: Testing.
Okay, that's a little un-creative. Room 158 is all about testing, we need details before jumping in.
GOOD EXAMPLE:
A post in Room 158 called: Mazes and Tunnels.
See what I did there? This way you know it's about mazes and tunnels.
2) Update the title!
Remember, if your post hasn't been replied to or you don't like it, modify the post to: (TITLE HERE): CLOSED
If you prefer certain people to come in, put PRIVATE. (Just remember that the people you want to come should know it's there!)
If anyone is allowed to join, put OPEN.
3) Keep a lookout!
You may never know. You could come up with the AWESOMEST post ever. You may include the AWESOMEST characters, with the AWESOMEST idea.
And then someone comes in with a ridiculous character. Or they make the story ALL about them. Or they change the plot completely. Or they do something you don't like. Talk to them about it, NICELY, and if they ignore it, come to me. I'll do something.
4) KEEP IT REAL.
I've seen some ridiculous posts about rats shapeshifting, escaping, creating hidden communities, and even setting the whole lab on fire. Remember; you are a rat in a lab. You cannot get out. The lab has security, you know that?
This is where I get serious. Please read.
I've noticed most characters have gotten out of their cages. I thought about this and said to myself; then what's the point of the plot anymore?
PLEASE DO THIS FROM NOW ON: I WOULD LIKE THE SUBJECTS TO RETURN TO THEIR CAGES. The scientists could have improved the security. They could have installed security cameras. NO GUARD CATS, THOUGH.
Please consider that, thank you. (;
