Bardroy
Color: -strangely- blonde (explained later in the desc.)
Gender: Male
Bardroy prefers Bard, or Baldo. Just not Bardroy. He acts tough, but cares deeply for other rats, especially his brother Gilbert.
Gilbert
Color: White
Gender: Male
Gilbert is an arrogant albino - he constantly praises himself. Underneath all that pride and boastfulness, though, is a young rat who just wants to live and be free with his brother.
Histories and Personalities:
Bard and Gilbert (sometimes called Gil) were born in the forest, but were caught by whitecoats soon into their lives. The two both dislike the whitecoats because of what they have done to other test subjects, though they themselves have been through quite painful tests. Their reason?
"The whitecoats have done worse, so much worse, to others. Bard and I are lucky."
Bard has the rough, don't-mess-with-me kind of outside, while Gilbert seems to have the arrogant, god-I'm-awesome personality. However, both are truly very caring and hate to see another test subject suffer. The brotherly love between them is strong, despite being separated often.
Bard was tested on DNA mixing. The first - and last - experiment was simple in goal but just about impossible to actually pull off; successfully merge human and rat DNA to create a strange hybrid creature. The tests ultimately failed, and the only lasting effects of the experiment was that Bard's once smoky blue fur was changed a human hair-like blonde, his eyes turned un-rattily bright blue, and something in his mind could translate human dialect into understandable words.
"I think I was lucky they didn't throw me out when they failed. Gil always tells ms that, and I think he's right."
Gilbert was used to test various drugs and such that could be used to raise one's IQ level. The product was eventually denied and gotten rid of, but Gilbert could, however, now read the writing of humans. His mind was quicker, sharper, his bright red eyes always flashing with barely-contained intelligence. This knowledge, however, is limited. Even Gilbert cannot think of a way to overthrow the whitecoats, to heal an injured rat's wounds, or undo the effects of an experiment. All that is beyond him.
"I wish I could do something. I mean, I'm awesome, right? If I'm so awesome, I should be able to save a rat's life!"
Character Descriptions:
Bardroy: blonde fur and blue eyes (due to experimenting)
Gilbert: albino (white with red eyes)
((Yeah... you might recognize these characters... Um, before my old posts got deleted because I was highly inactive, I had a Bardroy character who was ok, so is this still acceptable? If it isn't that's fine ^^"))
