Subject 1329's eyes widened at this plan. She had known one guard dog, but he was young and friendly. The other dogs were cruel and merciless, willing to snap all their necks and devour them whole. "Guard dogs are horrible, though!! They'd eat us all if they wanted to! And they could easily track us down.." she whimpered, her eyes getting wet. She was scared, and this feeling of fear was growing more and more. But, she followed the others. Because who else did she have except for this odd group of animals?

"Dogs are ok." Lewis said quietly, tracing the steps of the group, still behind as usual. "They're intelligent enough to be reasoned with and not ill-natured enough to manipulate. If we happen to meet a dog..."
His eyes flicked towards Tod. Of course, this was one of the reasons he wanted Tod to stay. Ferrets were fast, smart, and charming. If anything happened between them and a dog, Tod would likely take the initiative and talk down the dog. Or, fight it. Because in all honesty, as good-natured and smart as they were, dogs were cowards.
"If we happen to meet a dog, we can talk to it. We can communicate. If all else fails... well, then we can improve based on the circumstance."

Subject 1329 nodded, relaxing a little. That could work. Maybe they could have sense talked into them, maybe they were smart enough. She shook the feeling of dread off, hoping they wouldn't have to 'improve based on the circumstance'. She continued walking, taking a place near the edge of the group.

.:Emmet:.
Emmet didn't exactly like the plan but they had to work with what they can. 'ooh I really hope we don't run into a guard dog...' Emmet thought nervously walking alongside Echo. Then he turned his head back at 1329 seeing she was distancing herself from them. He walked by 1329 staring at her worryingly, "hey, you okay Jenn? You look a little anxious."Emmet said to 1329 wanting to make sure she was alright.
~Tod~
After they all started walking finally but slowly and cautiously, Tod felt bored hoping something interesting would happen. But not too interesting, Tod can only observe so much after all. "So sir Lewis, if we were to run into a dog, what things are we to say to get out of that kind of situation?" Tod asked Lewis, curious about what Lewis maybe had in mind, besides he seems like a very intelligent rat who knows what he's doing unlike the ferret being careless of his actions.

Lewis gazed sideways at the ferret, scanning over him quickly. "Actually it's less of what we say, what we say and more of how we act." he said, double-phrasing out of habit. "Give a dog a reason and it'll leave you alone. Dogs aren't particularly brave, or cruel for that matter. They're also very emotionally inclined."
"You're a good actor," he added, lifting the corner of his mouth a little in a grin. "So playing with the dog's emotions is a key. They pity. Also, during the course, the course of the interaction, mantain steady eye contact. That should send a subconscious message to the dog, basically telling it to leave us alone. Eye contact could be interpreted as a challenge, but if you throw in some positive emotional manipulation he'll probably let us go."
"At least, that's how it should work. Don't take my word for it," Lewis added hurridly.

"I'm alright. A little anxious, but about everyone in the lab is scared," she said, shaking her head a little, "Always scared of what will happen next..." She pricked her ears up and grinned, to prove she was feeling fine.

"Well, if you say so..." Emmet said still unsure about 1329's grin that looked forced.
~Tod~
Tod stared around being cautious if a guard dog does happen to jump out of nowhere.

Teako:
Teako passed the row of bushes that seperated them from the long, open field that stood between them, seperating them from the fence that lay beyond. "We have to be really careful, because there is nowhere to hide. If we do come into contact with a guard dog, we reason or run for our lives. Understood?" he said to the group.
Echo:
"Understood..." she mumbled. Ever since Tod and Lewis had come, Teako had sounded more strict than ever. She just wished that everything could go back to normal. She stepped out into the open, and started across.

.:Emmet:.
Emmet thought Teako sounded much more serious when Tod and Lewis appeared. "Understood.." He said pretty uncomfortable with what they are to do when they encounter a guard dog.
~Tod~
"Understo~od" Tod said yawning on the last bit of his word. 'hm, the dove really ĺikes leading this group, that's good of him to be a leader, heh what will happen if we were to all get separated from him?' Tod thought forming his usual grin.

Lewis remained in slightly cold silence, still feeling too distanced from the bird to acknowledge him personally. Instead, he rubbed his paws together nervously and groomed down his back, flicking the tip of his tail against the grass. Teako seemed like a decent individual but Lewis didn't particularly like his pompous manner. Well, of course Teako was probably the leader, but Lewis just didn't like the stressed way he talked. Like he was forcing himself to act like a leader, sort of. Maybe it was simply Teako's attempt to make an impression on him and Tod that he was in charge, and the fake mask would pass soon enough.
The lab rat turned his attention to the other members of te group, analyzing them now that he was on a roll. There was Jenn, the blood-dripping rat who looked anxious and fearful, also wearing a happy mask. Lewis remembered the comment she had made about guard dogs being vicious and bloodthristy, and her initial (and a little bit current) fear of Tod. Raised in fear, he made note of. Also very suspicious of other animals, maybe? Out of distrust because of the lack of being able to relate to them? Then again, Jenn seemed to get along perfectly fine with Teako. Maybe they had known each other for a while. Or then again, Teako had already proven to Lewis that he acted, so Teako might have actually taken the intelligent initiative to build an empathetic bond between the two of them. However, Lewis doubted Teako was intelligent enough to do so. These things he contemplated as he walked in silence.

.:Emmet:.
It was too silent to Emmet as they walked, so he started humming lowly to break the silence a bit. Still humming, he looked back at Tod suspicious he might do something to attract the attention of a guard dog to attack then leave them to die. 'heh that seems far-reaching, Tod wouldn't do that... Would he?' Emmet thought a little worryingly facing forward once more changing the humming tune to something happy.
~Tod~
'well someone must be awkward feeling.' Tod thought as he heard Emmet humming killing off the silence for a bit then glanced at Tod then back forward changing his humming tune. Tod joined in humming in a high tune but more eerily wanting to ruin Emmet's happy humming.

Echo:
Echo continued walking, but slowed down enough that she was walking side-by-side with Emmet. She enjoyed hearing his humming, because the ferret's humming sounded more like a screech to her. Teako seemed to had taken the lead. 'Teako had never really wanted to lead... but he's probably just trying to keep us safe from Lewis and Tod...' Echo thought.
Teako:
Teako continued to lead the group over the long stretch of land. They were almost half way there. He glanced back at the others, making sure nobody wandered off. Teako suddenly heard a sharp barking sound, and he turned his head in the direction of the sound. 'I've already had enough stress for today!' He thought, as the dog stopped in front of him. He stared with rage into the dog's eyes, and it tucked it's tail between it's legs and it's pupils shrank with terror. It then fled away, whining. 'Woah, did I just do that..?' Teako thought with pure surprise. He rubbed his eyes, and they felt a little bit like they were burning, but with no pain. He turned to face Echo, and he asked, "You saw that happen... Didn't you? I'm not sure what happened, but do my eyes look ok?" before he even finished, Echo had backed up in terror. He ran over to a clear puddle and gasped at his feflection. His pupils were white and the iris of both eyes was striped with deep shades of red, bringing out the more pale red that they were supposed to be.
(Teako has a power I'm going to add it to his character sheet)

Subject 1329 stared in horror at Teako. How did he scare the dog?! He was a mourning dove and that was a big guard dog! Maybe it was the fact that he had looked so enraged at the dog, which may have scared it off. Or maybe that his eyes had turned a creamy red. Either way, the dog had run off and now she was a little frightened.

Teako:
He turned around from the puddle, and saw that now Subject1329 looked scared. "Guys, it's alright... I think i've calmed down." He said, his pupils growing darker and the dark lines starting to fade.
Echo:
"We better keep going. Teako, it's ok. That could prove to be useful if we encounter another guard animal." She said to Teako, seeing how sad he was that she and 1329 had looked terrified. She kept walking, making sure TEako had time to catch up to the front of the parade.
