LABRATT's bald tail dragged behind her as she scampered to try and find more of the Escaped, bi-colored eyes flicking around.

Lewis's eyes scanned the blinding bright room, a stabbing migrain making his ears ring. Because of his unfortunate albinism, he lacked the pupils that most creatures had and as a result, the light went directly to his brain. His brain, his buzzing, throbbing brain. His tail twitched. The rat lifted off onto his hind legs and planted his paws onto the clear plexiglass, pressing his forehead into it and closing his eyes. The bleak, red light that was his eyelids was perhaps even worse. The only time he could escape was the night, the cool dark night when all of the lights were off. The lights, he hated the lights. Why hadn't Blank, his superhero, saved him yet? Why wasn't Blank like the brightly colored man in the picture book, showing up when he cried for help to eradicate the whitecoats and break him out? Maybe Blank was coming up with a different way, a better way. The buzzing of his brain grew louder and the ringing intensified and the dull crimson landscape was his eyelids suddenly flooded with an intense, singing RED and his eyes snapped open and his whole body shuddered, then he slowly sank onto all fours. His breath misted the glass. Soon, soon he would be out of here. But for now he needed to lie down. Feeling sick, Lewis trudged to a corner and curled up, almost missing the sound of another rat scurrying, not inside a cage but somewhere he had never heard a rat before. An escapee?
(Just to clarify. The thing that happened to Lewis, with the red and the buzzing, may make some people think he is insane. No. No he is not. It was a simple psychological twinge that has actually happened to me before. I just needed to clarify because insane characters irritate me and I don't want people to think of Lewis as one)

{ I see }
LABRATT's ears twitched as the doe turned to see Lewis' cage, bi-colored eyes bright.She scurried over to the male rodent's confinement, the wires trailing from her head to her lower neck shooting tiny sparks that caused no damage. LABRATT tilted her head at the albino, tattered ears perking forward. "Who are you?" She chattered, narrowing her eyes at him. She thought of the pain he was going through; the doe herself was an albino, but only one of her eyes were still red ever since the whitecoats tweaked at her brain and replaced her eye.LABRATT shook her head at the memory, not caring if she looked strange to the other rats.

(I don't mind.! Please join!) Lewis started and darted back somewhat frantically, his tail snapping against the cage wall. His nerves had begun to sing and his heart was suddenly in his throat. Could it be...? No, no, it was a different rat. Not Blank, not Blank. But free. Somehow, miraculously, beyond his bleak confinement, there was a rat and it was free. No, not an it. A she. Lewis approached, squinting slightly against the light. The rat, She, that is, had asked a question. He retraced his mind and heard the voice again inside his brain, unscrambling the noises into words. "My name is Lewis. And I am positivly aching to know yours (That's his new catchphrase haha), unrestricted anomaly." He pressed his paws up against the glass.

{ Well sure you can join! And I'm just going to do a quick character switch if you don't mind ^v^" }
"You may call me Tobi," The rat said, standing on her hackles. Her deep red eyes, the same color of blood, showed no sign of light, as if the brightness never reached her sight. It was true; the rat only saw complete and utter darkness. Everything was very, very dark; she was almost blind.

Ness was curled in the back of her cage. She was shaking slightly, still not used to this adjustment. She had only had one test, but it was mostly just to make sure that she was healthy. Her young, unmarked body seemed to vibrate from the fear. The dark doe knew that the next one would be painful- from what she had heard from the other rats. They all seemed so... Mutated? Abnormal? Odd? She didn't know which word would be more appropriate. All she knew was that it was going to happen to her.

The dark-eyed doe looked at the rats in the other cages, deep red gaze looking at Ness. She squinted, her horrible sight not allowing her to spot the other doe as quickly.
